Haridas

Born in 1924. Became a primary member of Congress in 1941 and joined the freedom movement in 1942. Secretary of Kunihar Praja Mandal in 1944 and was arrested for his activites in the freedom movement. Protected muslims during communal riots of 1947. Became the Secretary of Congress Committee, Arki in 1948. Established Praja Mandal in Kuthad, Nalagarh, and Mahalog. Became the Vice President of Mahasu District Congress Committee in 1945-46 and the Secretary of the State Congress Committee in 1960. Elected to the Himachal Pradesh Territorial Council in 1962. Became the Development Minister of Himachal Pradesh in July 1963.
